This small brooch pin is a working miniature compass is set within a ship's steering wheel. The six directions of space are conveyed in the vintage mounting, produced from old metal dies. Calibrating compass to the position of the stars, the GPS from long ago remains the symbol of finding our way and our purpose. Ship's wheel is 14K gold plate, mounted on an antique silver engraved disk. Made in our Los Angeles studio.
