Chinoiserie is a French word meaning "in the Chinese style." It is partly historical with strong overlays of artistic interpretation melding Chinese motifs with the angular lines of the 1920s, the era of Art Deco style.
The meaning of the flowers on the bracelet: The Chinese monthly rose blooms almost every month of the year. For this reason, it is known as 'the eternal spring flower' (長春花 changchunhua), and symbolizes longevity
The little plum blossoms have five petals symbolizing each of the five blessings--longevity, prosperity, health, honor and good living.
