A dramatic interplay of lines and curves gives this Asian inspired bracelet its distinctive art deco appeal. Vintage floral carved green jade glass ovals are held in a frame of smoke crystal. Old ruby baguettes and sapphire blue crystal squares add to the 1920s deco theme. Fold over clasp. Burnished bronze finish. From our Cafe Society collection, made in our Los Angeles studios.

The Inspiration: All of the decorative arts of the deco period were influenced by the mystique of the Orient. I acquired this glass panel and teardrops many years ago from an importer in New York who had been the primary dealer of glass jewels during the 1930s and 1940s. These vintage elements are used very selectively for my limited edition jewelry designs. I blend the elements with settings we create especially for them in designs appropriate for the very spirit of their original era.
