This intaglio necklace convinces the eye of rediscovered antique treasure. Large, exquisite glass intaglio bears a neo-classical portrait surrounded by acanthus leaves, symbolic of love and life. It is set into a sculptural bezel with an open back to permit light to fill the intaglio. The intaglio, also called a reverse cameo is handmade, using the very same process used by Bohemian glass makers of the last centuries. A sumptuous presentation. Beautifully detailed, finished in .925 silver and burnished to a soft glow.
