In this Art Deco necklace, the serene face of Quan Yin "Buddha", Goddess of Compassionate Love and Mercy, is mounted on a black enamel frame set with glimmering marcasite stones. The neck chain is a series of interlocking geometric links with marcasites and jet stones in the manner of jewelry of the 1920stermed Chinoiserie, 24" Pendant: 1.72" x 1.22" plus dangling jet faceted stone. Choice of jet black or jade green. Entirely produced at Sweet Romance Jewelry in our Los Angeles studio.

Quan Yin is a beloved figure of the Buddhist tradition and is considered the embodiment of compassion and mercy. During the 1920s, the Orient held a mystique which influenced all the decorative arts and popular culture.
