Shelley's comments: By the turn of the century, women's footwear had become a focal point of daily fashion. While long skirts endured to prevent the sight of a woman’s ankle, the shoe began to peer out from beneath hemlines. Shoes became more noticeable when a lady was seat. All the shoes in my collection are made in jewelry metal and ornamented in enamels and lacquers and fine crystal. Each is a detailed miniature sculpture entirely manufactured in our studio in Los Angeles.
