The exhibit of the filigree of the Gurtler firm at the Vienna World Fair in 1873 marked their entrance to the jewelry world as innovators of quality die struck metalwork. In collaboration with glass jewel makers, filigree jewelry reached the height of fashion by the 1930s.
Multi-layer design of intricate filigrees is fused to an open disk and accented with smoke crystals and seed pearls.
Center is a tiny outline flower set with a single smoke crystal.
Simple ‘hook’ earwire for pierced ears only.
Mixed metal finishes of burnished bronze and antique silver.
